Designing for Android.
Minus was a file sharing service making the transition to a social network. This pivot required a change in direction for the mobile application and a greater presence of the user profile and chat functionality. The nearby user grid would encompass three users per row, in order to strike a balance between the number of users shown on screen and the visibility of each user’s profile image and information. The main navigation would be bound to a single slide out menu, triggered by the menu button, or with a user swipe from the left corner of the screen. Message threads would indicate the read status of a message, and if the user had unread replies in a thread.
